Ms. Christie has over 25 years of experience in the exploration and mining business. She became the President and CEO of Banyan in 2016. Prior to that, she was the President of privately owned Gimlex Gold Mines Ltd. (2006-2016), one of Yukon's largest placer mining operations and and was involved in consulting for exploration, mining, environmental assessment, government, community and First Nation relations, including working with First Nation development corporations.. She currently serves on the boards of Osisko Metals and Western Copper and Gold; has been a board member of PDAC, AMEBC and other industry associations; and was a founding board member of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board (2004-2016). Ms. Christie is actively involved in non-profit work and charitable initiatives, serving as the President and co-founder of “Every Student, Every Day”, a charity dedicated to enhancing school attendance across Yukon. Ms. Christie has B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of British Columbia and is a registered professional engineer in BC and Yukon.
David Rutt, CMA, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Rutt is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA CMA) in Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor. He has been a management consultant since September 2006 with a focus on senior management financial roles in private and public companies. During this time he has brought four companies public onto the Venture Exchange while holding the positions of President and/or Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his roles with Banyan Gold, Mr. Rutt is Chief Financial Officer of UVAD Technologies Inc. a private company developing unmanned aerial vehicles. Between October 2002 and March 2010, Mr. Rutt was the Secretary-Treasurer of Landis Energy. Between April 2009 and March 2010 he was the Chief Financial Officer of Landis Energy until it was sold.
Jasmine Sangria, MBA

With a career spanning over 20 years, Jasmine Sangria has a proven track record in innovative marketing and collaborative leadership.
A seasoned Brand Strategist, Ms. Sangria previously worked in the marketing industries in Vancouver and Whitehorse for the better part of two decades with brands such as Vespa®, Best Western, Coast Hotels, and the Yukon First Nations Chamber of Commerce. This was accompanied by accolades and recognition for her work in Southern Alberta, as the Chief Executive Officer for Tourism Lethbridge and the region’s four Unesco sites. Multilingual in three languages, Ms. Sangria has lived in North America and Asia – cultural experiences that have influenced and shaped her work in Marketing Communications and Business Development. Jasmine’s educational background includes an Undergraduate Degree in Applied Design and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.
Kai Woloshyn, BSc.
Vice President, Project Development
Kai Woloshyn is a registered Professional Chemist with nearly 20 years of experience in mining and environmental consulting.
Mr. Woloshyn was the Environmental Manager for Alexco Resource Corp. (acquired by Hecla Mining in 2022) for over 10 years and was responsible for all environmental management and permitting matters for the Keno Hill Silver District Mining Operations. Previous to Banyan, he was the Vice President of Strategic Projects for Ensero Solutions, where he led Yukon exploration and mining projects through baseline data collection, environmental assessment and permitting processes. During his time with Alexco and Ensero, Mr. Woloshyn contributed to economic studies and advanced multiple projects towards operations. He has led First Nations and community consultation, including negotiation and implementation of several benefit agreements. Mr. Woloshyn holds a Bachelor of Science Combined Major in Chemistry and Earth & Ocean Sciences from University of Victoria.
Duncan Mackay, M.Sc., P.Geo.
Vice President, Exploration
Duncan Mackay, M.Sc., P.Geo., is a seasoned geoscientist with over 15 years of experience in mining and mineral exploration. Known for his expertise in 3D modeling and geologic interpretation, Duncan has built a reputation for combining deep technical knowledge with leadership in remote, challenging environments. His career spans exciting geoscience projects across Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina. Duncan specializes in integrating mineralized domains, lithology structure, and alteration into 3D models that influence exploration and resource estimation. Beyond his technical skills, his leadership in managing drill programs, mentoring teams, and upholding safety standards has been key to his success. As a Senior Modeling Geologist with Yamana Gold and Pan American Silver, Duncan played a pivotal role in shaping mine-site modeling and drill target generation, significantly advancing resource development. His ability to synthesize complex datasets and deliver actionable insights has made him an invaluable asset to every project he’s led, from the Arctic to the Andes. With a Master’s in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor’s in Earth Sciences from Simon Fraser University, Duncan’s career is driven by his lifelong passion for exploration and understanding the Earth’s mineral potential.
